Which plan fits

Pro Suite fits until you need built-in AI. Core adds Premier Success, Slack Business+ and Tableau Next, and would make this bill $5,000.

What this assumes

  • USD list prices, with the same edition on every full seat.
  • Pro Suite, Core, Advanced and Max are billed annually. Starter Suite is billed monthly or annually.
  • Salesforce calls the Starter and Pro Suite prices starting prices, and says transaction fees apply.
  • Light users are Platform Starter at $25.00, for people who use custom apps and don’t work deals.
  • Flex Credits sell in blocks of 100,000 for $500.00.

Left out of this estimate

  • Implementation, extra storage, Signature Success and other clouds or add-ons.

How does Salesforce pricing work?

Salesforce charges per user, per month, by edition. Sales Cloud runs from $25.00 on Starter Suite and $100.00 on Pro Suite to $195.00 on Core, $395.00 on Advanced and $550.00 on Max. Most editions are billed annually, so a seat added in month one costs twelve months.

  • Seats = full seats × edition price
  • Light users = users × $25.00
  • Flex Credits = credits above your allowance, in blocks of 100,000 at $500.00
  • Monthly bill = seats + light users + add-ons + Flex Credits

What would Salesforce cost a company like yours?

These are worked examples at list price, one per company type, using the example numbers shown. They aren’t client results. Seat counts drive almost all of these figures, so the fastest way to a real number is to count who works deals or cases every day, then put that in the calculator.

Salesforce cost worked example

A hypothetical 50 to 100 person B2B SaaS company has 25 sellers and success managers on Pro Suite, and 5 people who only use custom apps.

  1. Full seats: 25 × $100.00 = $2,500.
  2. Light users: 5 × $25.00 = $125.00.
  3. Per year: $2,625 × 12 = $31,500, billed annually.

The estimate is $2,625 a month at list price. Moving the 25 full seats to Core would add $2,375 a month, so check what Core adds before you move everyone.

What are Salesforce’s list rates?

Sales Cloud lists Starter Suite at $25.00, Pro Suite at $100.00, Core at $195.00, Advanced at $395.00 and Max at $550.00, all per user per month. Service Cloud lists the same prices. Platform licences for custom apps start at $25.00, and Agentforce add-ons at $125.00 a user.

Flex Credits sit outside the per-user table, at $500.00 per 100,000 credits.

Does Salesforce cost more with more users?

Yes. Salesforce charges per user, so seats move this bill more than anything else. Every extra Core seat adds $195.00 a month, or $2,340 across a year. Data doesn’t change the seat price. That makes the useful question who needs a full seat and who could use something lighter.

What happened to Salesforce Enterprise and Unlimited?

Salesforce renamed and rebundled them. Core replaces Enterprise Edition, Advanced replaces Unlimited Edition and Max replaces Agentforce 1 Edition. The new editions bundle more, including Slack, Tableau and Premier Success. If your contract still names an older edition, ask your account executive what your renewal maps to.

Who needs a full Salesforce seat?

Anyone who works deals or cases in Sales Cloud or Service Cloud. People who only use custom apps may fit Platform Starter at $25.00, which is built for apps rather than the sales process. Check the objects each person needs first, because Platform licences don’t replace a sales seat.

How do Flex Credits work?

Flex Credits pay for Agentforce actions. Each action uses 20 credits, and credits cost $500.00 per 100,000, so an action costs $0.10. Core includes 500,000 credits a year per org, Advanced 1,000,000 and Max 2,750,000. Above that you buy more, so busy agents make this a usage cost.

What does this estimate leave out?

It covers seats, light users, the Agentforce add-on and Flex Credits. It leaves out implementation, extra storage, Signature Success and other clouds or add-ons. Salesforce calls the Starter and Pro Suite prices starting prices and says transaction fees apply, so read your order form before you budget from this number.
