What our Fivetran implementation includes

Fivetran consultants who connect only the data you use, set each sync to the freshness your reports need and alert a named person when something stops.

  • Connectors for your sources

Google Ads, Meta, GA4, HubSpot, Salesforce, Stripe, Zendesk and your app database connected, each with only the tables you need.

  • Destination and access

Snowflake or BigQuery set up as the destination, with its own role and key-pair authentication.

  • Sync, history and schema settings

Sync frequency matched to how fresh each report must be, history mode where you need change tracking, and rules for new columns. See schema drift.

  • Cost controls

Only the tables and columns you use, so monthly active rows and the bill stay predictable. See Fivetran pricing.

  • dbt models on top

Fivetran's raw tables turned into clean models with dbt, run after each sync.

  • Alerts and freshness checks

Failed syncs and stale tables reported to a named person, with counts reconciled against each source. See Fivetran implementation mistakes.

Ask your pipelines how they are doing, in plain English

With Fivetran and your warehouse connected to Claude over MCP, your team asks what is fresh, what failed and what costs the most, and agents flag stale tables before anyone opens a report.

  • Which source tables haven't updated in more than 24 hours?. Checks Fivetran sync status and the warehouse.
  • Which connectors used the most monthly active rows last month, and on which tables?. Reads Fivetran usage data in the warehouse.
  • Why did the Salesforce sync fail last night, and what does it affect?. Reads connector logs and dbt lineage.
  • Pipelines over MCP

Fivetran status and your warehouse connected to Claude, so sync failures and stale tables are a question away.

  • Usage you can see

Fivetran usage data loaded into your warehouse, so AI can show which tables drive the bill.

  • Freshness alerts

Agents that compare each table with its freshness target and alert the owner by name.

  • Answers from tested models

AI reads dbt models built on Fivetran data, not raw tables, so its answers match your reports.

With every implementation

  • Yours after handover

The MCP access, the agents and the docs live in your own accounts. Your team runs it all with AI, without depending on us.

  • No retainer needed

A one-time setup at a fixed price. There is no monthly retainer to keep it running, so your costs go down over time.

  • Right from day one

Anyone can set up a tool with AI, but it's only as good as what the AI guesses. We know what works from 74+ implementations.

  • Free martech AI agent

Every implementation includes it: slash commands and skills that run your whole stack in Claude Code.

    See the agent

Who our Fivetran implementation is for

Most teams come to us at one of four points, and the scope is written for yours before any work starts.

Not the right fit if you only need one spreadsheet export. Fivetran pays off when several tools feed one warehouse.

  • A first set of pipelines

You need ads, CRM and billing data in one warehouse without building connectors. See do you need a data warehouse.

  • A Fivetran bill that grew

Connectors syncing tables nobody uses. We trim them and set limits. See Fivetran pricing.

  • Moving from Stitch or Airbyte

Connectors rebuilt and history reloaded with counts checked, as a custom plan. See Fivetran vs Airbyte.

  • Pipelines nobody watches

Syncs fail and nobody notices for days. We add freshness checks and alerts with owners. See marketing data freshness SLAs.

Fivetran with the rest of your stack

Fivetran moves the data; the value comes from what reads it. We connect both sides and check the handoff between them.

What's not included

So the fixed price covers exactly what we build, and nothing comes as a surprise later.

  • Your Fivetran plan

Fivetran bills you by monthly active rows for each connector. We keep the rows to what you use.

  • Warehouse costs

Loading and querying in Snowflake or BigQuery are billed to your account. We size them for your volume.

  • Custom connectors

Where Fivetran has no connector for a source, building one is scoped as a custom plan.

Sound familiar?

  • The bill doubled after one connector.

It synced every table, every column, every hour.

  • Syncs succeed, but the numbers are stale.

    Nobody checks freshness downstream.

  • A new column broke the dashboards.

    Schema changes flowed straight through.

  • Raw tables go straight into reports.

So every analyst cleans them differently.

We connect only the data you use, set sync, history and schema rules for each source, model it with dbt, and alert a named person when a sync fails or a table goes stale.

“Faizur helped us transfer Google Analytics conversion events to Google Ads via Segment. We set that up within two or three weeks. Now we have a clear vision of our conversions and we could optimize our campaigns like this. Because if your tracking is not on point, you can't really improve your Google Ads performance.”

All the marketing analytics tools like Mixpanel, Google Analytics, data tracking tool, customer analysis tool like Customer.io, and every kind of tool that we needed. “We worked with Faizur when we wanted to set up Mixpanel. What I loved was how detail-oriented he was, and that he wasn't just there to accomplish that one task. He was able to advise us. He suggested setting up Segment and he thought about everything at a macro level, all the way down to the micro. It gave me confidence to outsource this.”

“We recently had the pleasure of working with Faiz on our integration of Segment. Not only did he help us seamlessly set up the integration, but he also went above and beyond to help us establish dashboards in Mixpanel. What was super valuable was having somebody who understood both the business/marketing requirements but also had the technical expertise to execute them.”

Fivetran implementation questions, answered

Something else on your mind? Email hello@martechdevs.com or book a free call.

How much does a Fivetran implementation cost?

Starter is $4,800 (25% off $6,400), live in 4 weeks, and Growth is $12,150 (25% off $16,200), live in 12 weeks, at a fixed price with no hourly billing. Eligible startups get 40% off the list price instead. More brands, markets or a migration from another tool make it a custom plan, priced before work starts. Your Fivetran plan and warehouse usage are billed by those vendors. See the fixed price packages.

How much does Fivetran cost?

Fivetran prices by monthly active rows, the distinct rows each connector adds or changes in a month, and has a free plan for low volumes. Syncing only the tables and columns you use is the biggest lever on the bill. See Fivetran pricing.

Fivetran or Airbyte?

Fivetran is fully managed and quick to run, priced by rows. Airbyte is open source with a cloud option, often cheaper at volume but with more to maintain. See Fivetran vs Airbyte.

Do we still need dbt with Fivetran?

Yes, for anything beyond raw tables. Fivetran lands data as it looks in each tool; dbt turns it into customers, campaigns and revenue that make sense across tools.

What changed with Fivetran and dbt Labs?

The two companies completed their merger in June 2026, and Census is now part of Fivetran as Activations. Your connectors and dbt projects keep working, and we tell you if a product change affects your setup.

Why do tables look stale when the syncs succeed?

Because a successful sync is not the same as fresh data. Upstream delays, history mode, deleted rows and dbt runs that did not follow can all leave tables behind. We put freshness checks on the tables your reports read, not only on the syncs.

How long does a Fivetran setup take?

Starter goes live in 4 weeks and Growth in 12, or in half the time on super fast. Large historical syncs run in the background while we build the rest.

Who owns the Fivetran account?

You do. The account, connectors and destination stay in your name, and we work as users you can remove at any time.

What happens after launch?

Starter includes 30 days of support after handover, up to 10 hours, and Growth 90 days, up to 30 hours. It covers fixes, questions, new connectors and small model changes. After that your team runs it with the docs and your martech AI agent, or keeps us on a retainer from $1,980 a month.
