Attio MCP

Attio publishes its own hosted MCP server at https://mcp.attio.com/mcp. You sign in with OAuth as your Attio user, and it's available on all plans. The 48 tools in Attio's docs read and change records, lists, notes, tasks and comments, and search emails, meetings and call recordings. A separate docs server only searches Attio's documentation.

What does an Attio MCP server do?

An Attio MCP server lets an AI assistant work in your CRM as you. Attio's server searches and updates records, logs notes, manages tasks and lists, runs reports and searches emails, meetings and call recordings. It acts as you, so it can only see and change what your permissions allow.

Is there an official Attio MCP server?

Yes. Attio lists MCP as an official app built by Attio and documents the server in its developer docs. The connector listing in Claude shows it as made by Attio with an Anthropic verified badge. Attio's changelog dates the launch to 19 February 2026.

  • Attio also publishes the docs server. That one covers documentation search only.

What is the Attio MCP server URL, and how do you sign in?

The URL is https://mcp.attio.com/mcp. You sign in with OAuth using your Attio account, and no API keys are needed. Every call runs as your Attio user with that user's permissions. In Claude and ChatGPT you pick Attio from the connector list, and other clients take the URL directly.

What can an Attio MCP server read and change?

It reads and changes most of your CRM. Attio's tool list covers records, activities, lists, comments, notes, tasks, meetings, calls, emails and reports. Two tools delete: delete-task, and delete-comment for your own comments. Attio lists no tool that deletes a record, and merge-records combines two records into one new record.

How do you set up an Attio MCP server in Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor?

Attio documents all three. In Claude, search for Attio under Connectors and add it. In ChatGPT, open Apps, search for Attio and connect. In Cursor, add the server URL as a remote server and complete OAuth. In Claude and ChatGPT you then choose your workspace and confirm access.

Claude

Attio documents a listed connector in Claude, on claude.ai and Claude Desktop.

  1. In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Click the + icon, search for Attio and click +.
  3. Choose your Attio workspace and confirm access.
  4. Turn the connector on in a chat from the + button, then Connectors.

ChatGPT

Attio has a listed app in ChatGPT. It doesn't state which ChatGPT plans can use it, and says connector access can depend on your plan.

  1. In ChatGPT, go to Apps and search for Attio.
  2. Open it and click Connect.
  3. Sign in with Attio, select your workspace and confirm.

Cursor

Attio names Cursor and says to add the URL as a remote server, then complete OAuth when prompted. It publishes no Cursor-specific steps. The generic route goes in ~/.cursor/mcp.json.

What can you ask an Attio MCP server?

Check the connection first, then keep early prompts read-only. Attio's prompt guide says to name records exactly and to ask for a list of every change after a write. These examples fit Attio's tools. The last one writes, so it ends by asking for that list.

  • Reads

Which Attio workspace am I in, and who does it think I am?

  • Reads

List open deals with no close date or no owner. Link each record.

  • Reads

Give me a count of open deals by stage.

  • Reads

Search call recordings from the last 30 days for pricing objections, and name the companies involved.

  • Writes

Add a task for me to follow up with Acme on Friday. Then list what you changed, with links.

What are the limits of an Attio MCP server?

Attio limits tool calls by tier, per workspace: 100 reads a second, 25 writes a second, 5 merges a second and 300 searches a minute. Semantic search, reports and SQL run at 2 a second. Tools in a tier share one bucket, so a whole workspace draws on the same limit.

  • Attio's docs say reads are auto-approved and writes ask for confirmation. Its prompt guide says the assistant asks before most tools, and you can allow read tools to run without asking.
  • If calls fail on rate limits, Attio says to ask the assistant to slow down or run one operation at a time.
  • Creating records with no unique value can produce duplicates, so give an email address or a domain.
  • Emails and call recordings hold words from outside your company, so keep tools that read them out of chats that can also change records.

How much does an Attio MCP server cost?

Attio makes MCP available on all plans, and its pricing page shows a Free plan at £0. Paid seats are £27 a month on Plus and £59 on Pro with annual billing, or £34 and £74 billed monthly. Enterprise is custom. Attio lists no separate MCP fee.

What are the alternatives to an Attio MCP server?

The main alternatives are an automation bridge, or another CRM's server. Zapier can expose Attio actions as MCP tools, and each tool call uses two Zapier tasks. The CRM MCP comparison sets Attio beside HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho and Dynamics 365, if you're still choosing a CRM.

  • Zapier MCP: Attio actions through one Zapier connection.
  • Pipedrive MCP: An official hosted server, if you're choosing a CRM.
  • HubSpot MCP: An official server, if HubSpot runs beside or instead of Attio.
  • Gong MCP: Answers from calls and emails, if your recordings live in Gong.

Which skill goes with an Attio MCP server?

Use the free Agent write safety skill before you allow writes, because this server can update records, merge them and delete tasks. Use the Marketing context kit to write down your objects, attributes and list names once, so every prompt starts from the same definitions and the assistant has less to guess.
