What does a Pipedrive MCP server do?
A Pipedrive MCP server lets an AI assistant work with live CRM data in plain language. Pipedrive's server searches deals, contacts, organizations and leads, creates and updates records, converts leads and schedules follow-ups. Pipedrive says it can also turn meeting notes into CRM records and generate follow-up tasks.
- Pipedrive launched it on 30 June 2026.
- Actions taken through the assistant are recorded in the change log.
Is there an official Pipedrive MCP server?
Yes. Pipedrive's MCP page says the server is built and maintained by Pipedrive, and its Claude listing shows Pipedrive as the maker with an Anthropic verified badge. Community servers also exist, and Pipedrive doesn't publish them. The one below runs on your own machine with an API key.
ckalima/pipedrive-mcp-server: an MIT community server with 155 tools, by its author's count. It runs locally on aPIPEDRIVE_API_KEY, with deletes off until you set a flag.
What is the Pipedrive MCP server URL, and how do you sign in?
The URL is https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp, from Pipedrive's ChatGPT guide and its Claude listing. You sign in with OAuth and approve the requested permissions in Pipedrive. Pipedrive's ChatGPT guide says you need permission to install apps in your Pipedrive account. It takes no coding, and other assistants can use the same URL.
- The assistant can only reach what your Pipedrive user can, so your role and visibility settings still apply.
- Pipedrive says MCP doesn't grant access by itself: a user or admin has to permit it.
What can a Pipedrive MCP server read and change?
It reads and writes. Pipedrive's tool list covers activities, deals, persons, organizations, leads, products, pipeline stages, notes, email threads and projects. It shows get, add, update, search and convert tools, and no delete tools. Claude's listing counts 79 tools, more than that list names, so check your own tool list.

How do you set up a Pipedrive MCP server in Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor?
Pipedrive documents Claude and ChatGPT. In Claude, add the listed connector and authorize it. In ChatGPT, use the plugin linked from Pipedrive's MCP page or add the server URL as a plugin. Pipedrive names Cursor on its MCP page but publishes no Cursor steps, so the generic URL route applies there.
Claude
Pipedrive documents a listed connector in Claude. You need the right to install and use connectors in Claude.
- In Claude, open Customize, then Connectors.
- Search for Pipedrive and click Connect, or start from the Pipedrive listing.
- Sign in to Pipedrive, review the permissions and confirm.
- Start a new chat and check that Pipedrive is on.
- To load every tool, turn on the setting that loads all tools in the connector configuration.
ChatGPT
Pipedrive's MCP page links a ChatGPT plugin. Its ChatGPT guide covers a custom plugin, which needs Developer Mode on a Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan.
- Turn on Developer Mode in ChatGPT under Security and login.
- Open Plugins and click + to create a plugin.
- Name it Pipedrive MCP, enter
https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcpand click Create. - In Pipedrive, review the permissions and click Allow and install.
- Add the Pipedrive MCP plugin to a conversation before you start it.
Cursor
Pipedrive names Cursor on its MCP page and publishes no Cursor steps. The generic route is to add the URL to ~/.cursor/mcp.json and complete the OAuth sign-in.

}What can you ask a Pipedrive MCP server?
Good first prompts stay read-only and name a pipeline or a date range. Pipedrive's own example is open deals that have gone quiet for two weeks. These examples fit the tools Pipedrive lists. The write prompts ask the assistant to show its work first, because changes hit live records.
Reads
List open deals with no update in the last 14 days, with each deal's owner and stage. Don't change anything.
Reads
Show the activities due this week on deals in the Proposal stage, grouped by owner.
Reads
Summarise the latest email thread on the Acme deal and tell me what it says the next step is.
Writes
Convert the lead for Jane Doe at Acme into a deal and tell me when the conversion finishes.
Writes
Turn these meeting notes into a note on the Acme deal and a follow-up call on Friday. Show me both before you save them.
What are the limits of a Pipedrive MCP server?
Usage is subject to token limits based on your plan, and Pipedrive hasn't said how many tokens a call uses. Its API token limits run from 30,000 a seat on Lite to 210,000 a seat on Ultimate, up to 100 million a company. Its MCP page doesn't say if those are the same tokens.
- Admins get alerts at 80% and 100% of a limit, and can check usage under Settings > Company > Usage.
- Pipedrive's API budget resets every 24 hours. Once it's spent, Pipedrive's API returns a 429 error until the reset.
- Claude may not load every tool at the start of a chat until you turn on the setting.
- Email tools need a connected email sync, and project tools need the Projects add-on.
How much does a Pipedrive MCP server cost?
Pipedrive says the server is available on all plans and lists no separate fee. You pay for the plan, and Pipedrive says plans range from $14 to $79 a seat a month in the US. Extra tokens cost more. API token top-ups add 250,000 at a time, from the Growth plan.
- Pipedrive shows the top-up price when you select the add-on, and you can buy up to 10.
- You're charged per seat, whether or not the seat is assigned to a user.
- Pipedrive offers a free 14-day trial on any plan.
- A custom plugin in ChatGPT needs a Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan on the OpenAI side.
What are the alternatives to a Pipedrive MCP server?
The main alternatives are an automation bridge, a community server, or another CRM's server. Zapier can expose Pipedrive actions as MCP tools, and each tool call uses two Zapier tasks. The CRM MCP comparison sets Pipedrive beside HubSpot, Salesforce, Attio, Zoho and Dynamics 365.
- Zapier MCP: Pipedrive actions through one Zapier connection.
- Attio MCP: An official hosted server, if you're choosing a CRM.
- HubSpot MCP: An official server, if HubSpot runs beside or instead of Pipedrive.
- Snowflake MCP: Pipeline reporting, if Pipedrive data lands in your warehouse.
Which skill goes with a Pipedrive MCP server?
Use the free Agent write safety skill before you let an assistant add or update records, because this server changes live deals and contacts. Use the Marketing context kit to write down your pipelines, stages and fields once, so every prompt starts from the same definitions and the assistant has less to guess.
- Agent write safety: Sets approvals before an agent can change deals, people or activities.
- Marketing context kit: Holds your pipeline names, stages and fields in one folder for every prompt.
We set up Claude Code and MCP for marketing teams, with access scoped per person and approval before anything changes.
