Reads gclid, gbraid, wbraid, fbclid, msclkid and ttclid. It can’t tell you which campaign a click came from, because only the ad platform holds that.

gclid: Google Ads
Added by auto-tagging to the landing page URL.
Length
32 characters
Stored in
A first-party Google cookie on your domain, once a Google tag runs on the page.
Send it back in
The gclid field in an offline conversion upload.
Time limit
The conversion has to fall inside the click-through window you set, up to 90 days.
Redirects have to pass it to the final landing page, or the conversion is lost.
Runs in your browser with no sign-up. This page loads no ad tags and no session recording, and we only record that the tool was used. Links and click IDs you paste stay on this page.
How to use the click ID lookup
Paste a full landing page URL. A query string, a name=value pair or an _fbc cookie value works too.
Read which platform each click ID belongs to, where it’s stored and where to send it back.
For an fbclid, copy it as an fbc value, ready for the Meta Conversions API.
Which click ID belongs to which ad platform?
The parameter name tells you. gclid, gbraid and wbraid come from Google Ads, fbclid from Meta, msclkid from Microsoft Advertising and ttclid from TikTok. Each platform adds its own to the landing page URL when someone clicks an ad, so the click can be tied to a conversion later.
fbclid is the click ID Meta adds to a link when someone clicks an ad on Facebook or Instagram. The Meta Pixel stores it in the _fbc cookie, and you send that back as fbc in the Conversions API. It’s case sensitive, so never lowercase it, and don’t hash it.
What is msclkid?
msclkid is the Microsoft Click ID. Microsoft Advertising adds it to the landing page URL with auto-tagging, which is on by default, and sends it with your UET events. For offline conversions, upload it in the Microsoft Click Id field, with a conversion time within the last 90 days.
What is ttclid?
ttclid is the TikTok Click ID, added to the landing page URL when someone clicks a TikTok ad. The Events API takes it in user.ttclid. It can run to 1,000 characters, so don’t cut it short, and TikTok suggests storing it for 28 days or more.
Can I find the campaign from a gclid?
Yes, but only inside your Google Ads account. A click_view query in the Google Ads API returns the campaign for a gclid, with a filter on one day, for dates up to 90 days back. A browser tool can’t do this, because only Google holds what the ID means.
No, not on the way in. Redirects need to pass the gclid to the final page, or the conversion is lost. Save the ID with the lead or order, and keep it out of links you publish or share, because each one belongs to a single click by a single person.
Why can’t this tool name a bare click ID?
Google, Meta and TikTok don’t publish a format for their click IDs, and treat them as opaque values. A guess from the first few characters would break the day a platform changes its format. So this tool needs the parameter name, unless the value is clearly an _fbc cookie.
