GTM and enrichment

ZoomInfo MCP

ZoomInfo publishes an official hosted MCP server at https://mcp.zoominfo.com/mcp, and its Claude listing names ZoomInfo as the maker. Search is free, enrichment costs 1 data credit per new record, and research uses AI credits. A free account includes 1,000 of each credit. Subscriptions that only carry recurring monthly credits can't use it.

What does the ZoomInfo MCP server do?

The ZoomInfo MCP server lets an AI assistant search ZoomInfo's companies and contacts, enrich them, pull buying signals and write research briefings. ZoomInfo's tools reference lists 27 tools, three of them deprecated. It can also build audiences inside ZoomInfo. It doesn't write to your CRM or run bulk exports.

Is there an official ZoomInfo MCP server?

Yes. ZoomInfo runs it, and its Claude listing shows ZoomInfo Technologies Inc. as the maker. ZoomInfo's MCP page links its docs on gtm.ai, a ZoomInfo site. Its public GitHub plugin registers the same hosted server and adds 14 sales and marketing skills.

What is the ZoomInfo MCP server URL, and how do you sign in?

The URL is https://mcp.zoominfo.com/mcp, and every client uses it. You sign in through OAuth with your own ZoomInfo login, and no static token or header is needed. Each call runs as you, so results reflect your accounts and CRM relationships. Admin-only seats can't connect.

  • Back-office jobs can use a service account, where every action runs as one integration user with no per-user context. ZoomInfo recommends user sign-in wherever practical.
  • An admin controls who can connect with the API Access setting under Admin Portal > Users > User Management.

What can the ZoomInfo MCP server read and change?

It reads ZoomInfo data and can change audiences and GTM context inside ZoomInfo. ZoomInfo's tools reference marks 14 tools as free, 8 as data credit tools and 5 as AI credit tools. Results are limited to what your package includes, and intent data needs Intent Topics configured.

What it can read

What it can change

  • Upsert Audience creates an audience or updates its details. Creating it is free, and filling it from a search costs 1 data credit per record.
  • Manage Audience Rows loads your own records. Only rows that match a ZoomInfo record are charged.
  • Manage Audience Columns defines columns for free. AI columns spend credits per cell when you run them in ZoomInfo.
  • Update GTM Context changes offerings, personas, segments and competitors. It's for ZoomInfo admins only, and each call uses AI credits.
  • Submit Feedback sends feedback to ZoomInfo.

How do you set up the ZoomInfo MCP server in Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor?

ZoomInfo documents all three. Claude and ChatGPT use listings, so you search for ZoomInfo and sign in. Cursor needs a bridge through mcp-remote and Node.js 18 or later. In each one, check that your account has usable credits, then ask what ZoomInfo tools it has.

Claude

ZoomInfo is a listed connector in Claude, and ZoomInfo documents the steps.

  1. Open Settings > Connectors and search for ZoomInfo in the connector marketplace.
  2. Select it and sign in with your ZoomInfo credentials when prompted.
  3. Start a new chat and ask: What ZoomInfo tools do you have access to?
  4. Back in Settings > Connectors, select ZoomInfo and switch off the tools you don't want, such as enrichment tools that spend credits.

ChatGPT

ZoomInfo documents an app in ChatGPT that works on all tiers, including free plans.

  1. Click Apps in the ChatGPT side panel.
  2. Search for ZoomInfo and click Connect.
  3. Sign in with your ZoomInfo credentials when prompted.
  4. Start a new conversation and ask: What ZoomInfo tools do you have access to?

Cursor

ZoomInfo documents a bridge through mcp-remote, and says a native url entry usually causes a failed tool discovery. You need Node.js 18 or later. Add this to ~/.cursor/mcp.json, restart Cursor and sign in when your browser opens.

What can you ask the ZoomInfo MCP server?

Start with free searches, then enrich the few records you want. These examples fit ZoomInfo's tools. Search and Find Recommended Contacts are free. Enrichment spends data credits and research spends AI credits, so the paid prompts name a record count or ask the assistant to flag the cost before it starts.

  • Reads

Find US software companies with 200 to 1,000 employees that use HubSpot. Show 25 results with revenue and employee count. Don't enrich anything.

  • Reads

Who should I talk to first at Snowflake? Recommend 5 contacts and explain why. Don't enrich anyone.

  • Spends credits

Enrich these 8 contacts with direct email and job title. Tell me the most data credits this can use, and wait for my yes.

  • Spends credits

Research Snowflake before my call tomorrow. Tell me this will use AI credits before you start.

  • Writes

Create an empty company audience called Q1 Targets. Don't load any records yet.

What are the limits of the ZoomInfo MCP server?

ZoomInfo's limits page caps Enrich Companies and Enrich Contacts at 10 records per call, a search with redeem: true at 25 per page, and Manage Audience Rows at 50 per call. Audiences stop at 200,000 rows unless your plan sets another maximum. Your credit balance or admin limit often stops a job first.

How much does the ZoomInfo MCP server cost?

MCP is free to connect, and a free account includes 1,000 data credits and 1,000 AI credits, once. After that, top-ups start at $20. Data credits list at $0.38 each at the $1,000 spend tier, and AI credits cost $0.05 each. ZoomInfo's sales plans show no public price.

What are the alternatives to the ZoomInfo MCP server?

ZoomInfo's own CLI and API use the same credit pool and suit scripts and batch jobs, but connector restrictions in an AI client don't cover the CLI. Apollo and Clay run official servers of their own. Workato documents a prebuilt waterfall server that calls ZoomInfo first.

  • Apollo MCP: Official server that adds sequences and email sending to search and enrichment.
  • Clay MCP: Official server with team-built Functions and per-rep credit limits.
  • GTM CLI: ZoomInfo's command-line tool for scripts, on the same credits.
  • Workato: A prebuilt waterfall server that calls ZoomInfo, Apollo and LeadIQ.

Which skill goes with the ZoomInfo MCP server?

Use the free Agent write safety skill before you connect, because enrichment and audience loads spend real credits. Use the Marketing context kit to write down your ideal customer profile, exclusions and field names once, so every prompt starts from the same rules and the assistant doesn't enrich records you'd never contact.

We set up Claude Code and MCP for marketing teams, with access scoped per person and approval before anything changes. For ZoomInfo itself, see ZoomInfo implementation.
