# Tracking plan index

Copy to `martech-context/tracking-plan/README.md`. Also create `tracking-plan/CHANGELOG.md` with the heading `# Tracking plan changelog`. Journey files (`<journey-slug>.md`) and event contracts (`<event_name>.yaml`) are written by the tracking-plan-builder skill.

## Open items

- <question> | owner: <role> | due: <YYYY-MM-DD>

## Where the authoritative plan lives

- Authoritative copy: <this folder | Segment Protocols | Mixpanel Lexicon | Amplitude Data | RudderStack | Avo | sheet at <location>>
- If elsewhere: last export <file name, YYYY-MM-DD>; the export is a snapshot, not the source.
- Enforcement: <tool and mode that validates live events, or none>

Only one plan is authoritative. If a sheet and a tool disagree, record the difference as an open item for the owner.

## Conversion events

Events that count as conversions anywhere (analytics key events, ad platform conversion actions, CRM milestones). Tag audits read this list.

- `<event_name>` | counts in: <GA4 key event, Google Ads action, CRM stage> | intended hostnames: <www.example.com, app.example.com> | regions: <all | list> | must not fire: <on page reload, for internal users, on the confirmation page refresh, on staging hosts>

## Journeys

- `<journey-slug>.md`: <journey name> | status: <proposed | approved | implemented | verified> | metric: <metric_id_v1>

## Event contracts

- `<event_name>.yaml`: v<version> | status: <status> | risk tier: <1 | 2 | 3> | journeys: <slugs>

## Events observed but not in the plan

Found in exports or tools with no contract yet. Each needs a keep, rename, merge or retire decision.

- `<event_name>`: seen in <tool>, <volume or first seen date>
